A Reminder

For the people that read my blog, but seem to not like anything that I have to say.....

Please reread this post.
That should clear things up.
This is who I am. I write MY feelings, MY opinions, MY thought, and MY experiences. This is about MY LIFE. It's that simple.
I am, very simply put, a Mama. With 9 very loved, very much wanted and VERY exceptional kids.
I am not forcing my opinions on anyone. It is your choice to read them. I am simply writing them for all to see.
If my blog bothers you to the point that you have to leave rude comments, please stop reading/following me. Or, at the very least, quit commenting. Please.

  1. It is YOUR blog, about YOUR life, with YOUR opinions....ONLINE. You are choosing to be judgmental (your own words) in a public setting. Of course sometimes you're going to rub people the wrong way. You are judging them. All anyone else is doing is judging you. It's only fair.

  2. Nicole.. you are doing fine. it's refreshing to have someone not be afraid to stand up to what they feel is right. And ya know what, we all judge, everyone judges. Someone who looks at someone who beats their children and says, "THAT IS WRONG!" is judging them. WE teach our children to judge, to determine the difference between right and wrong. There are things that are right, things that are wrong, and things that we do because we have to. We do the best we can with what we have. Hope that makes at least a lil bit of sense.

  3. I love your blog and the information that you post. I think it's horrible that someone is using this as a way to harass you and try to belittle what you do.

If I buy a book to read and end up hating it, I don't take it back to the store and demand a refund. I don't throw rocks at the authors house. I just don't buy that authors books again. Problem solved.

Please keep posting and doing what you have been. I love reading your blogs. I don't agree with everything, but I don't expect to. I love reading about your experiences and what you've learned over the years.

  4. @jenniferjonesishere... Get a life.

  5. To the negative one...One thing to remember is that some of Nicole's kids read her blog (as do other members of her family). When you post hurtful things please keep in mind that you may be hurting the feelings of more than just Nicole.

  6. I thought Jenniferjonesishere was not going to comment again? Did I read that wrong previously?

  7. Nicole, please try not to take those comments to heart.
They're a million times outweighed by the support and agreement of all the other posters.
I know how hard it can be not to let them get to us, especially when we're fragile from sleep deprivation etc already, but at the end of the day she is just some troll with nothing better to do than try to wind you up and make you feel bad.
You don't need to waste time worrying about what someone as sad as that thinks of you. You've got much greater things in your life!

  8. Ditto Melanie! You rock and this info is so good to have typed out. I've shared your blog many times! Keep up the good work spreading th AP love! If everyone loved their kids as much as you do, the world would be a better place for it. Don't let the trolls get to you!

  9. Go away haters! We love you, Nicole.

  10. You guys are AWESOME. Thank you all sooooo much.

I am determined to not let the negative comments get to me anymore. My Babywearing post was kind of lacking in information. My heart wasn't in it.

My next post will be much better. Promise.

And thank you all again for reading my blog. Even the boring posts :)

  11. You have chosen to make your blog public. If the negative comments are bothering you, then you should make it private or approve all comments. It's not fair for you to write about controversial topics in a PUBLIC forum and complain about the responses you receive.

  12. I'm not complaining about the responses per se. Its the name calling and the extreme negativity. I've asked that if people disagree with me, to post why so that everyone can see another view. But calling me names and using profanity isn't necessary.

  13. And, there is never a reason to be rude. Lots of my readers disagree with me at some point but they arent downright rude and mean. There is a difference between disagreeing and being argumentative.

  14. Thank you for sharing of yourself honestly and openly.
I agree that rudeness isn't necessary.
